What It Is
The Divemaster course is your first step into the professional dive world. You'll develop leadership, in-water skills, and real-world experience as you transition from avid diver to dive pro. Whether you're aiming for a full-time career or just want to level up your dive game, this course sets the foundation.
Who It's For
This course is designed for certified Rescue Divers who are ready to go pro. Ideal for those looking to guide, assist, and lead dives while gaining hands-on experience in a working dive operation.
Options
- Fast Track – 14 Days - Includes full course (confined + open water sessions), dry workshops, eLearning, PADI Pro Bag, aquatic slates, Dive Against Debris specialty (free), and real student assisting. 
- Extended Experience – 28 Days - Everything in Fast Track, plus: equipment maintenance workshop, DSD Leader internship, and up to 20 fun dives (fun dives are subject to spot availability and do not include cenotes, Cozumel, or bull shark dives.). 
- Divemaster + IDC – 5-6 weeks - This all-in-one option combines the full Divemaster course with our Standard IDC, setting you on the fast track to becoming a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. It includes the EFR Instructor and Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructor certifications, along with all required materials: eLearning access, instructor slates, and the PADI Pro backpack.

Course Structure & Schedule
- eLearning: Self-paced, complete it before or during your course. 
- Workshops & Practical Training: Confined water, open water, and dry skill development across 14 or 28 days depending on your package. 
- Real Experience: Assist on actual courses with students, gain confidence in guiding and supervising. 
You’ll train at Scuba Playa Dive Shop, in a custom-designed dive pool, use an equipped classroom, board private boats, and dive in both reef sites and cenotes when sea conditions shift. Everything’s built for serious pro training with maximum comfort and flexibility.

Train where others come to dive
Playa del Carmen offers a dynamic mix of reef and cavern environments ideal for developing real-world teaching skills. Your pro-level dives will take place in coral gardens and reef walls alive with parrotfish, angelfish, sea turtles, and the occasional nurse shark. From November to April, you might even witness the impressive Bull Sharks in their seasonal habitat. Want to level up your experience? You can upgrade your training to include Cozumel’s legendary drift dives or the sacred freshwater cenotes—both signature highlights of the Riviera Maya. Just ask how to add them to your journey.

Course Prerequisites
- Certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent certifications) 
- Completed EFR Primary and Secondary Care training within 24 months 
- Logged 40 scuba dives 
- Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months 
- Be 18 years old
